Re: cat question
Was she purring? I had a cat who was a drooler...it was pretty gross. She'd only drool when she purred, though.
Our cat now drools sometimes, but not very often. Again, it's usually when he's happy and he's being petted.

Re: cat question
My moms cats used to drool lol.
2 of them did it when they were being held and pet and all that mushy stuff.. I think it means they're happy

Re: cat question
If it's actually dripping out of her mouth you might want to call your vet. My cat did that and we found out it was because there was a medical issue that we never would've guessed because he acted normal. Can't hurt to get it checked out.

Re: cat question
If this isn't normal for her, I'd give the vet a call. Will she let you look in her mouth? Is it possible she has something stuck in her mouth or someone got a cut or something inside her mouth?

Re: cat question
How bad is the drool? Doe sit have a funny smell? Is it a different colour? Is there a lot of it?
While I don't think it is possible for you b/c your cat is so young, I had a cat that drooled blackish drool and a lot of it. She was 18 at the time and it turned out she had squamous cell cancer in her mouth.
I do not think this is the case for you at all, but if you are worried call the vet.
On the other hand, my cats now drool when they have happy feet or are just happy and purring. It isn't a lot and it is clear. It takes them back to the time when they were kittens and they sometimes do it to comfort themselves (it reminds of them of when they fed from the mother, same reason for happy feet).
