Endometrosis
My Dr thinks I may have endometriosis I am waiting for him to call me back SO that we can schedule to have a procedure done ( I forget the name ) But my question is what were your symptoms and how do you feel now physically since you have been diagnosed. See I have extreme pelvic pain, diarrhea, horrible back pains lower) Plus Dh and I want to ttc soon. Thanks

Re: Endometrosis
I have stage 2 endo. I had a lap done to remove the endo. As for symptoms, I really didn't have much. I did experience cramps the first to days of my period but that was managed with ibuprphen.
My main symptom was during the first two days of my period I had extreme pain during bowel movements. I have endo on my bowel. My RE was surprised that I really didn't have more pain given how extensive my endo was. HTH and good luck with your lap!

Re: Endometrosis
LAP worked for me..i had stage 3 and was a mess, ended up loosing a fallopian tube but got pregnant my second time after the surgery..honestly, it is worth exploring the surgery before ttc as it sucks to go on for months and months and then find out there is a problem..

Re: Endometrosis
I had exploratory lap last November to check for endo. My doc found some and removed it. My cramps were OK after the procedure, but now - almost a year later - the cramps have returned. Badly. My doctor said that he sees no reason why I can't conceive naturally, but we're going on month 5 with no success....
The symptoms that tipped my doctor off were: sudden onset of HORRIBLE cramps - I'm talking pass out from the pain ,sudden drops in my blood-sugar levels when I got my period, very heavy flow. I had been on BCP's since I was 13 and went off them 3 years ago. After I went off, the pains returned with a vengeance. Apparently the hormones in the BCP's were masking my symptoms.
Better to get it done now.
Good luck to you!
(sorry for crashing your board, ladies )

Re: Endometrosis
I had lapo done in March for my endo. I had endo and an endometrioma cyst on my left ovary. The endo was contained to my pelvic area, but was also found on my bowels. I had some problems "going" and never associated that it could be because of the endo. A month before my surgery, I was at my RE's office after my second IUI failed. I was on day 3 of my period and it was extremely heavy and I do mean extremely. When my RE saw that, that was when he said he wanted to do the lapo and I'm so glad that we did do it. I had 2 failed IUI's w/clomid and after I had the surgery, he put me on the injectables and we had our 3 and final IUI. I became pregnant and I'm now 6 months and expecting a baby girl in January.
Good luck!
