I think I'm a poor responder....
I started on Lupron on Thursday the 9th along with Repronex/Gonal-F and Dexamethasone and looks like I am not getting follies.
I went for first monitoring on Sunday and she said she saw 1, today the nurse just said, "Not much of anything going on, we'll look at the blood and talk later." I am so upset, I can't eat and I cried for hours. Just need some prayers, and anyone have any advice or similar experience?

 Hang in there sweetie! They may up your dosage. How many vials of each are you using? A lot can change. You may start out slow and have to stim longer than some people but still have a postive outcome. Hang in there!!!

I do 4 Lupron shots a day, it came pre-mixed. I also do 1 Dexamethasone pill at night, and a mixture of 4 Gonal-F & 2 Repronex once a day. I am so upset over this! And I am so afraid I am doing soemthing wrong or something!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Lupron suppress? Why would yopu be on Lupron with Gonal/Repronex. Also why are you on dex right now? I didn't take mine until retrieval-not to say this is wrong just different. Maybe someone who knows more about these drugs can come on and answer

I'm not sure about the Lupron, although I sometimes do a microdose lupron protocol which kind of jumpstarts everything...but as for the dex, some clinics have you do it while you stim as they believe it helps egg quality (I did it with Kreiner)

Maria, are you on microdose lupron? I know that the lupron supresses so you dont ovulate so that makes sense.. Did they say they would up the dose of the stims? Try to stay calm and see what the blood shows.. Dont worry alot can be done here.. I know these meds dont help any either.. They make you nuts to begin with!! I am praying for success here!!

I have no idea, this is what they told me to do. Hopefully I will know more later.

I'm pretty sure I took the Dexamethasone while stimming.  Hang in there- don't panic!
I was a slow responder also- they started my dose low so not to have me over respond since I have PCOS and have a history of it... but it took some time- then I had a bunch of small ones that never made it to maturity and ended up w/ 7 at retrieval. I stimmed longer than your average person, but it all worked out- just hang in there and keep doing what you're doing!

You know... I think you are fine...
I was on lupron the entire time so you don't over stimulate...
The Tech person said the same thing to me early in... not much going on... you are only on day 6 of stimming if I read that correctly... and they only ususally start measuring when they are over 10mm... so you have a little bit to go..
I think you are doing fine. Don't worry, and remember, everyone is different!
ETA... I just looked at my calendar and I stimmed for 9 days before triggering... I am taking that tonight... I would just ask on Friday since you are concerned... but seriously, everyone is different and there is no perfect dose for every single person.

It is perfectly normal to take Lupron while stimming. You take small amounts which prevents you from ovulating. This is called the "long protocol" and is often used.
I also took Dex while stimming. They think it helps with egg quality. Good luck on Friday.

My first IVF cycle, I also took a long time to respond.
I was also on Lupron before and during stimming.
Hang in there, I know it's frustrating!

I'm not familiar with the protocol either, although I think I might be doing the same kind of thing when I start my next cycle. I would ask them what your E2 has been when you go in on Friday. If it is steadily going up, then the meds are working.
I responded very slowly my first IVF and they increased my meds after my stim day 4 monitoring. So you're right, if they didn't raise it, you might be ok.
