question for girls who have had an IUI
anyone else experience a lot of discomfort after the IUI....I mean hours later. I had my IUI yesterday morning and right after that I was in a lot of pain but then it got better. But then by the time I got home from work I was in PAIN again. IT never hurt like this before. The only difference between this IUI and the last 2 was that for this one I took the trigger shot.

How soon after the trigger did you go for the IUI?
They say cramping is completely normal after the IUI.

I got the trigger at 7am and the iui was 10am the next morning. It was just so painful.

Trigger makes O'ing a little bit uncomfortable. I always felt severe pulsing on one side of my body (which makes sense b/c I usually had one dominant side with follies).
Sometimes you will also get cramping after an IUI from the procedure. All part of the fun.

After my IUI, I definitely noticed some O pains later that day. I also had some spotting.

I've had 4 and never experienced pain afterwards.

I have had cramping after all of my IUI's...one time it was for a few hours...they always have a hard time getting the catheter through my cervix..

I had pain- but it was days later, not hours. It was from cysts. Could it be OHSS?

Yes a little cramping maybe spotting.. if its really bad i have a feeling its the trigger shot and you are ovulating and for sure that hurts like hell!! See what the Dr says it doesn't hurt to call.. are you doing back to back ??  Swim spermies swim.. get those eggs!! Please God grant us another favor.. We thank you in advance!

I too had a really bad IUI this go around. Very crampy, sore, full-feeling. It did subside but not until the next day. I've had cramping before but this one was a doozy. He did have a hard time getting the speculum placed but I was chalking it up to some good ovulation combined with the IUI.
