TTC'er here with a ?
I have a couple of sets of twins in my family, and I always wondered whether I was a candidate to have twins myself. Any girls that had twins without fertility; did anyone in your family have them? If so, who?

It is hereditary on the mother's side. So, if you have fraternal twins on your side, you potentially may have twins. It does not pass from the father's side since the occurrence of fraternal twins is based on two eggs dropping.
Identical twins are just a freak of nature so to speak-- when your fertilized egg splits. This can happen to anyone.
For example, twins run in DH's family. BOTH of his parents are singletons, and their only siblings are fraternal twins. My SIL has a very strong possibility of having twins because it runs in both of their parents, so I guess her chances may be increased. Me, well-- no possibility here unless there is something I don't know about from my side.
