Laying Out Money...?
DH is CONSTANTLY laying out $ for other people, especially his mom. He just deducted almost $200 from our checking account between two things for her and another for some guy at work, neither of whom have paypal accounts (ebay purchases). Is it wrong that this sort of annoys me? I'm not mad per se, just annoyed, like why can't they set up their own accounts??
Sorry, I guess it's a semi-vent/semi-question...
ETS: We always get it back - that's not the issue. Just wanted to be clear on that...

I don't have that problem (thankfully because yes, it would irk me) but my best friend does. Her DH is always doing that for co-workers (even gives them lunch money!) and family. It drives her mad...especially because he doesn't always get it back.

I would be annoyed. It happens to me all the time especially when I get a joint gift with someone. I always lay out the money.

Kidding aside, I know what you mean. I don't like the idea of promoting dependence, especially financially.

OMG with "your" butt shaking on the side of that...
It's just like hey, gotta wait to do some bills or buy something for ME because I don't like to charge things unnecessarily and these people who are NOT me or DH are using up our cash flow. It's annoying!
Glad I'm not being a total nagging wife here!

I will never, ever forget the time a co-worker asked me to purchase something from Ebay on MY credit card- for nearly $2k. I had only been here a few months, too.   And the guy makes nearly 100k!
