Update on oncologist

Dr. Davis told me to see one of Dr. Moore's associates instead. So I got two names, called the first and now I will see a doctor on Oct 15. Best of all, she takes my insurance!!!!!!

Maybe finally after this I can get going!

I'm telling ya..I'm not even there yet and I'm pulling my hair out.


eta: and I haven't even had a malignancy! This is because I had an abnormality 4 years ago.

That is good, why didn't he just tell you that to begin with. Oh well, can't go back now. Oct 15th it is.

Why didn't my surgeon tell me he didn't have the expertise to guide me with this when I first saw him on Aug 4? he just scheduled for for an MRI at the end of August and then 2 weeks for results and then, sorry I can't help you make risk assessment, I don't have the experience.

Then I call Davis, he tells me to call Moore. Moore schedules on Oct 2..fine..its Rosh Hashana but I'll do it. Then reschedules me for Oct 9..ok, it's Yom Kippur..not doing it..next available Oct 28 because she lectures..great..very knowledgable doc..no one else knows this stuff?

In Davis' defense, he didn't know about the scheduling issues until I called him Friday. I guess he thought I would be able to get in by a few weeks and it would be done.
