What would damage hair more?
Washing every day and not blow drying or washing and blowing completely dry every 2-3 days?
Would your answer change if I asked you to compare washing every day and using the blow dryer sparingly vs. washing every 2-3 days and blowing completely dry?

Re: What would damage hair more?
I would think that blow drying everyday would do more damage but that is my opinion of course.

Re: What would damage hair more?
What about washing every day and not blowing dry vs. washing LESS often but blowing totally dry with each washing?

Re: What would damage hair more?
I think that comparing the two (wash everyday but no blow dry vs. wash every few days but blow dry) is hard b/c it depends on the shampoo and how long you are blowing your hair for.
I personally try not to wash every day BUT if I do, I don't SHAMPOO everyday. I'll wet my hair and add conditioner instead b/c honestly, my hair isn't that dirty. Make sense?

Re: What would damage hair more?
Blow drying your hair is more damaging than washing it -
But it also depends on your hair, (is it dry, oily) and the type of drying your doing - Are you blowing it out straight, pulling on it with a brush, etc?
I also put too much product in my hair to go the conditioner only route - I rarely blow dry, but that's b/c I have very curly hair.
I deep condition it every week which helps a lot -

Re: What would damage hair more?
I didn't touch my blow dryer for almost 6 months and still washed my hair every day. My hair was healthier b/c I didn't blow dry. I find tha twashing and not always blow drying is better then not washing but using hte blow dryer.

Re: What would damage hair more?
Depends..
If you're washing your hair, and then leaving it wet, but tying it up, that's HORRIBLE for your hair and causes a TON of breakage.
Blowing alone, without an iron isn't as bad as blowing with an iron..
I'd say washing every day and then letting it air dry down is prob better than blowing everyday though..

Re: What would damage hair more?
Hummm that's tricky. Are you putting chemicals in your hair if you are not blow drying? I have curly hair so for me it is worse to not blow dry bc I will end up using moose and all that junk. I try to blow dry 2-3 times a week. As a PP mentioned I do deep conditioning once a week.

Re: What would damage hair more?
I would say washing every day & air drying is more damaging -but I think it would depend on the texture of your hair. If you have oily hair, then I'd opt for the airdry.

Re: What would damage hair more?
I think both are equally damaging. I wash every other day and usually air dry. And I'm a maniac with conditioning treatments. I lighten my hair, which is so thin it breaks when the wind blows, so I do anything I can to help prevent having straw for hair.
