Anyone been to Thailand or Bali?

So, I've decided I am sick of going to Mexico and the carribean over and over and want to try something a little more exotic this year. Just need to convince the DH

Has anyone been Thailand or Bali? Any companies you used to book your trip? This is not one I feel comfortable booking myself? Any budget suggestions?

I've been to Thailand and am going back next April. We never use travel agents so can't help you with that one but can give you any advice you need. As for as budgets you can do Thailand super cheap or crazy expensive. How much are you looking to spend?

We're going to Thailand in November for our honeymoon!! Booked/booking everything on our own. We couldn't find any travel agents that were very knowledgeable of the area.

We went to Bali for our honeymoon. I did a lot of research on my own and booked through a local travel agent just so I had a US contact.
We stayed in 3 separate villas, all which had our own private pool and it was only about $100 a night. We also hired a driver who was $300 for 2 weeks (crazy cheap, we tipped him well). I can recommend him for sure.
Bali is defniitely third world but has such beautiful things. We went diving part of our trip. Stayed in Ubud for part.
I will try to see if I saved any of the villa info.

ETA: We did have a "tour" group in Bali that took care of our transfers and such.
