Recommendation Please!
I have been doing a lot of research trying to find the right dog for me..I have been on all the websites looking at different breeds. I am looking for a med sized dog that loves to cuddle but also one that you can rough around with alittle and good with children I would like something with minimal shedding..I really wanted a puggle but I keep hearing how hyper they are and that worries me..Can anyone reccomend a breed?

boxers are great dogs.
my mutt is 1/2 boxer. he loves to wrestle with my husband, but is a big mush as well. he loves kids too!
You mentioned puggle, were you looking small ?
keep in mind puggles are 1/2 beagles. they bark alot. my neighbor has one and it is constantly barking at every sound. He also doesn't like many people, but that may just be his personality.

When you say medium sized - what exactly do you mean?
I consider Misty medium sized and she is 60 pounds her head is about waist level.
In that area, I would say boxer or lab.
If you are looking for something on the smaller side - you might want to consider a terrier or havanese.

We have a 10 month old boxer who is AMAZING with kids, loves to cuddle and loves to play...She is a great dog! All she wants to do is be around people and get love and attention!

Thanks girls...when I say medium I mean smaller like puggle size...I def was considering a terrier I like the westie..

I would get a puggle or pug. I have 2 pugs and they are both great with children and love to cuddle. They also have the best personalities. Good Luck on your search!

We have a schnauzer mix and have had a full breed schnauzer and they are wonderful dogs.
The one we have now is great with kids, is very playful, loves to run around the yard with me and loves to snuggle with me on the couch.

a havanese! When mine is done growing she'll be about 15 lbs and she hardly sheds. They're known to be great companion dogs

Maltese!! She loves children so much.. She is so gentle.. No barking or yapping.. Calm submissive.. Low allergy.. Has hair not fur.. No shedding.. Gorgeous.. The love of my life.. best dog in the world..
But i guess everyone is going to say this about there breed dog!!

But i guess everyone is going to say this about there breed dog!!
LOL I felt funny recommending a havanese AGAIN because I feel like every time someone asks for a dog recommendation I'm telling them to get a havanese.

Most people will probably be against what I am about to tell you, but I would get a pitbull. I had three, we recently had to put our oldest down. They always got along, never fought, besides playing, they are very smart and great with kids. Both LOVE kids, my niece and nephew pull and push and they just let them. Its all in the way you raise them, I feed them both at the same time right next to each other i have gotten in their faces while eating all to make sure they back away and do not become aggressive. Mine are the most cuddly loveable animals you will ever meet. I would never own another breed, its a personal preference. Good Luck making your decision.

When you say puggle, I think smaller dog. When you say midsize, I say Boxer, Pitbull and even what I have, which is a Bullmastiff. He is the gentlest , quietest, most affectionate dog, LOVES people esp. kids and yes he can roughhouse with my DH one minute then run aroud with my brother in law's little Boston Terrier next minute!

I am not agaist this at all.. My Vito is the best dog too.. he is my neighbors/my dog.. We rescued him as a pup and gave him to her so I feel he is my baby too.. I should have mentioned him too.
