we went to Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Jamaica and it was really nice....we liked it a lot better than Dunn's River which we also visited while we were there....but I have no advice on the others! Definitely depends what you're looking for though, what kind of experience...

Relaxing in the water, but also excursions. DH and I like to be active on our trips. See things, etc. Are excursions included?

We spent part of our honeymoon at Sandals Regency in St. Lucia and to be quite honest, we were a bit disappointed and didn't feel it lived up to the hype at all. JMO.

Water sports are included, but excursions are not.

I haven't been in a while but I've been to a few.
Royal Plantation was my favorite. It's not part of the regular Sandals family, but still owned by Sandals. It includes much of what Sandals includes but has some higher end upgrades.
5 star all the way. Loved it.

Has anyone ever done any of the extra excursions from Sandals? I know they are not owned specifically by Sandals, so are they legit? Any recommendations?

My parents go to a different Sandals resort each year...they do lots of excursions (my dad can't relax at the pool for more than a day or 2)...they have never had a problem with the companies that Sandals recommends and they usually book some of their excursions before they even go using the online site

Thanks! That is great to know. I was also nervous about the idea of waiting til I get there to decide the excursions. I'm a planner  Of course, this is still a distant dream, but if we don't go to Antigua for a wedding in May, we may try to do a Sandals resort for 4-5 days in June for our Anniversary.

We had an awesome time at Sandals Royal Bahamian!!!!! We still talk about it 4 yrs later.
Loved Sandals in the Bahamas. Went to Ocho Rios also and was not a big fan. My husband and I liked Dunns River better. But The Bahamas is better then the other two.

We went to Sandals Antigua for our HM and absolutely loved it! We booked a few tours when we got there and they were awesome! I booked a helicopter tour before we left with Caribbean helicopters and that was amazing! The Sandals there was beautiful, food amazing, and great staff. Plus the beach is the nicest i've ever seen!

For our honeymoon in 2004 we went to the Grande St Lucian in St Lucia and loved it. Great food, great place....Just an amazing 7 days in paradise.

Me too. Ocho Rios had too many stairs and little sections here and there. Dunns River I liked because I walked out of the hotel and everything was right there. it was smaller and more peacful IMO.
