What if I didn't ovulate yet?

I did the trigger at about 8:15pm on Saturday night. Had the IUI at around 11:15 Sunday morning. I did not do back to backs. I read that washed sperm only lives for 12 hours. So- what if I didn't ovulate yet? I got a smiley face on Sunday morning on the digital OPK, which I was expecting, but then wouldn't I ovulate 24-48 hours AFTER that? Or is it different with the trigger? What if I ovulate today? Why didn't they do back to back iui's? DH and I BD last night and will again tonight...but I am just getting the feeling that something is off...

I think that the REs have you use OPKs in the morning so you catch the middle-end of the surge instead of the beginning.

I usually ovulate the day after my second +OPK, but that's doing it at night. If I did it in the morning I'd O the day after my +OPK. Many people ovulate the day after the FIRST +OPK (which would be the same day as the +OPK if you tested in the morning). Does that make sense?

I thought the trigger makes you ovulate?

I'm not sure though.

The trigger does make you ovulate- but I thought it was like- 36 hours later or something, and my IUI was 15 hours later, and I read that washed spermies only live for 12 hours...

OK, so you did trigger Sat night and then went in Sun morning. Hmmm... I always went in 36 hours later (and it never worked for me, so I am a bad example). I don't want to freak you out or anything and maybe your b/w showed you were close to peaking b/f trigger (so many factors). Although your OPK was pos on Sunday. But, it also sounds like you and DH covered all basis. I agree with all your research. Washed sperm surive for 12 hours. When ever I took a trigger shot and ovulated, I felt it big time. Did you feel weird pinching on either side (where your ovaries are)? I bet you ovulated on Sunday. I've gotten a pos OPK and ovulated later that day (and recently - last month).
