Now I'm going to worry...
I'm 13 weeks & haven't seen my midwife since 10 weeks & then I had a sono at 11 weeks. I was supposed to go for an appointment next week, but I had to switch midwives. The soonest appointment I could get is 10 days later than I was supposed to go. I'll be nearly 16 weeks. I'm so nervous. I couldn't wait to hear the heartbeat again to put my worries at ease. October 14th feels like an eternity away. I've been reading too much lately about losses after 13 weeks & I've freaked myself out
Has anyone ever ordered one of those dopplers? Are they worth it?

Re: Now I'm going to worry...
At this early I don’t think a Doppler is the answer I have heard of many women who try to use them, can’t find the heartbeat and give themselves a heart attack, yet the baby is fine.
I had an appt at 9 weeks and then not again until 14 weeks. Don’t worry, have faith that your baby is growing big and strong as we speak!

For me with Andrew it was because I had the time. This time when I got it, it was a waste because I never really had a chance to use it.

Re: Now I'm going to worry...
If you are that worried can you see if you can go in and just have her do a doppler on you?
I'm not a big fan of renting dopplers, they are not easy to use early on andy ou can freak yourself out if you don't hear the HB right away.
My pelvis is tilted and anterior and therfore my midwife wasn't even able to get the HB on doppler until 18 weeks and it was very difficult and only for a few seconds.
I'm sure everythign is fine......see if they can squeeze you in for a quick listen!
And STOP reading about losses!!!

Re: Now I'm going to worry...
I know easier said than done, but not to worry. I was like that during the 12- 13 week time. You do hear so many stories.
Just make sure you are taking care of yourself, eat well, drink lots of water, take it easy and you will be fine.
