nearby getaway in October?
We're looking to get away for 3 or 4 nights in October... I'm thinking we'll stick to places within driving distance, though, since we're planning somewhat last minute...
Any suggestions? I was thinking of going to the Fingerlakes. We go there frequently, though, so I wanted to consider some other options.
We want to go somewhere nice and relaxing, but with stuff to do. We want to relax and have fun, but we get bored easily, LOL. We like being outdoors, hiking, etc. but we also like being pampered... so basically we're up for anything and don't know what we want to do!
Any suggestions? Maybe a nice spa somewhere not too far?

I was actually thinking heading down to the DC area so that we could take one night to go visit my brother and his family -- including my niece and godson!
I'd prefer not to visit the city, though. We've been to DC many times and I want OUT of a city for a while on this vacation. Maybe I'll see if there are any spas or resorts in the MD / VA area that we could visit for a few nights and still see my brother for a night or two...

New Hope/Lambertville area...
This place is rated as the #1 romantic B&B in the US, and I can vouch for it - it's simply amazing, and there's tons of stuff to do in the area:
Woolverton Inn
