ovarisn cyst?

Has anybody ever had a cyst on their ovary during pregnancy? I am starting my 14th week tomorrow with twins. I have had a sharp pain on my left side for a few days now. I have a history of cysts. I thought it was a bad gas pain but today was bad and I am really thinking it is a cyst b/c the pain is bad. I know I should call my doctor. I was just curious if it bursts can it harm the babies?

I've had cysts and had cysts rupture. Had 2 cysts so far while PG. One day had awful pain and got a sono. They said the cyst it could've been the cyst rupturing or it could have been ligament stretching. Apparently ligament stretching can be that bad! Are you able to walk? If you had hours of being unable to walk it was probably a cyst rupturing. Either way, my dr had said the baby would be fine. But regardless I would suggest calling your dr just to check it out - even if it just puts your mind at ease!

Thank you for responding. I am able to work but the pain is so sharp in my side around my hip to my back. It feels like the last time I had a cyst. It hurts when I am laying down especially when I try to get up. I'll call my dr. tomorrow. I know that I shouldn't feel bad to call my doctor but I always feel like I am being a bother.
