Owning in one state and working in another.
Are there any penalties, like being taxed twice?
Do you get both states taxes taken out?
I'm trying to figure out if this is possible for DH and I.

I used to live in NY and worked in NJ. Then for a while I lived in NJ and worked in NY, now I live and work in NJ.
When I lived in NY and worked in NJ, I had to pay NY taxes and NJ taxes.
When I lived in NJ and worked in NY, I had to pay NYS taxes but not NJS taxes.
