i'd love to stay there for a night- but damn thats a lot of $$$ for a hotel that melts!

The prices are most likely in Canadian. You will probably be able to chop off 20% off the prices by paying in USD.
The stay also includes a nice dinner and such.
Admission to the Ice Hotel during your stay.
ABSOLUT Vodka cocktails served IN THE ROCKS.
Four-course dinner served at the Auberge Duchesnay.
Access to hot tubs and sauna.
One night accommodation at the Ice Hotel in the selected room category.
Private room at the Station touristique Duchesnay on the same night as the night at the Ice Hotel.
Hot beverage served in the morning.
Full buffet breakfast served at the Auberge Duchesnay.
Complete equipment for the night: an arctic sleeping bag, blanket and pillow.
Gratuities included.

I saw a show about an ice hotel too, how they built it, the one I saw was in Europe somewhere, I think.
