She had caught a bad cold/flu. The dr. told her it was ok for her to take.

Yup. I took it when I had bronchitis after the penicillin didn't work. After taking a Z-pack, my bronchitis cleared up but I also took steroids so I'm not sure what did the trick, or if it was both meds.
