what should I wear for

1) an engagement party, this saturday, afternoon/evening thing, in a backyard, with a tent, being catered with BBQ type food

and

2) a christening for my friend's son, at an VFW hall, this Sunday afternoon/evening


Help me ladies, I'm coming in from Vegas, so I'm clueless as to weather etc!

Re: what should I wear for

1) pants. it's been soooo buggy out lately! every time I'm outside I get eaten alive.

and

2) a sundress or jersey wrap dress with a cardigan in case its chilly in there.
