Any ideas for leaving a cat?
I travel one week a month for work and in the next 2 months it's going to be more than that. I just came back from a 4 day trip where I had someone come in and feed her, check her water and clean her litter box...but I know they don't play with her. I came home and she was fine...she is clingy as usual and seems happy. What gets me worried is she has diarrea (sp?) and this happens every time I leave for a few days....and it usually clears up in a day or two.
Now all my other trips my BF will go over to check on her and he will pet her for a bit but is there anything else I can do to make my absence less stressful for her?
I do keep a light on and the tv....anything else??

put something with your scent on it in her bed or by where she hangs out mostly. Also a radio on would keep her company.
She's just stressed out. Poor kitty, but we leave the cats with someone to come in and feed, water and scoop and they play with them a little. Only maybe 10 minutes or so.

Re: Any ideas for leaving a cat?
when I would travel- I would leave my sweatshirt on the bed
pokey would sleep on it- Jake would be home and send me pics
but if we both go away- he gets stressed and gets an eye infection
