I don't understand the extremists in this country that swear they do everything in the name of the Bible while IMO doing exactly the opposite of what it teaches. Hypocrisy is everywhere.
How true- Like the extreme Christians who kill abortion doctors in the name of "life". There are extremists of every religion.
I think the difference between the Muslims and everyone else is that the extremists are the main voice heard around the world. You don't have many Muslim leaders condeming the violence. I don't think that the extremists speak for every Muslim- not at all. But there is no one from their community condemning it! At least not for the world to see.

That is true. I often wonder how much of that is due to our countries freedom of the press.

Ok...yes definitely an overreaction.
But i don think that the cartoon was crass...
And i do think that although the Islamic reaction was much more severe...I think about our own riots and what lunacy occurs during those....
So i guess i am not totally shocked by it
