Which baby carrier are you registering for??
The sling or the baby carrier?
My Dh says he refuses to every wear the baby carrier but would use the sling. For some reason he just hates the baby carriers. I liked the look of the sling, but was concerned about the baby being uncomfortable. It always looks like the baby is squished inside. My sister didn't use either with any of her kids, so I have no experience with either. Any thoughts??

I put both on my registry. Honestly, if someone didnt buy it I wouldnt be upset. The more I think about it I wonder how much we will use it.

I tried using the Baby Bjorn and hated it!!!!!! I never used it again and sold it on ebay for more then I paid for it

Yeah, I don't know how much I will use it either. I heard that they are good when you are trying to do things around the house, and the baby wants to be held. I think I will register for one just in case I need it.

we registerd for the ergo baby carrier. it was the highest rated by baby bargains, its supposed to be more comforatable than bjorn. I figured we could use it when we both go food shopping or something like that - one baby can go in the cart and the other in the carrier.

I registered for the Lascal M1 Carrier 'cus of various reasons:
- It's aesthetically pleasing and comes in a variety of colors.
- It fits both short and tall folks (DH is 6' and I'm 5') well.
- It is made of sturdy and breathable fabric
- It has good lumbar support
- It's easy to wear and put baby on or off (like the Baby Bjorn)
- You can have baby facing away or towards you
We didn't consider the sling because of the low weight limit. After less than half a year, you'll probably need to trade in for a carrier.

I have both and used the sling much more. My husband and I both have Hotslings...we used them up until about 9 months and then she started walking, so we stopped using it...I liked that the sling was in a cradled position when she was little and I could easily do things with her in it.

I have an Ergo and it is wonderful. I still use it and my DS is 16 months- 28lbs. It is a very comfortable baby carrier.
I have a Lucky Baby Sling which I also use. However, I've used the Ergo a lot more.
When DS was a newborn I really loved the Mobi Baby Wrap.

What is the weight limit?
I still use my sling for the hip carry. It's great for running in and out of stores with a Toddler. (The instructions on the website also say you can use it as a back carrier after 18months.) He's about 28 lbs and I don't at all feel like he's too heavy for it. But maybe it depends on the individual manufacturer.

I originally wanted the Ergo carrier, but from what I can see on the website, you can only where it with the baby facing you. I want to be able to have him face outwards too. So I ended up registering for the Baby Bjorn carrier.

I registered and received the Hip Hammock by Playtex. It is kind of shaped like a traditional carrier, but goes over your shoulder like a sling. THe only donwside is that you can't use it until the baby is 15 pounds. We really like it, though!
