Puppy loose stools?
Murray had some loose stools tonight. TMI- but it started off normal and ended up liquid.
He just had his second round of puppy shots yesterday. Could this be related? He doesnt seem to be in any distress, playing like normal. Is there anything we should do for him?

Re: Puppy loose stools?
keep an eye on it - could be any number of things. chances are he isn't feeling well from the shots. or maybe he ate something he shouldn't have.
if it persists or gets worse or the dog gets other symptoms (vomiting, lethargy, stops eating) i would see your vet.

Re: Puppy loose stools?
canned pumpkin or rice will harden the stool.....keep the pup hydrated too

Its not more frequent like diarrhea, so I;m less concerned about dehdyration, just looser than normal.

Re: Puppy loose stools?
That is the same thing that happened to Maverick
He had it come out normal then the end was loose....it got progressively worse for him we took him to the vet and all check out fine his digestive tract was out of wack. He went on some special digestive wet food from the vet and had some medicine and then he was fine
If you want to heck for dehydration pick up the skin on the back of his neck and let go if it stays up the pup is dehydrated
I would watch it an another or 2 then take the pup to the vet
