NO AC
in my classroom!! It was hot as hell today!! 22 kids plus ME and its becomes a freakin sauna!! I had so much work to do after school but I had to get outta there. I was so light headed and exhausted and my head is still throbbing!!
When will this heat wave end??!!!

OMG..... that must have been hideous... especially having to be on your feet all day 
bring extra drinks and snacks to work tomorrow, just in case...... the lightheaded thing is scary....

take a cool shower and drink lots of water. Try putting some cool compresses o nyour neck and forehead tomorrow during your breaks to try and cool off!!!

how awful. One of the perks to living down South is having air-conditioned schools. I don't think I would be able to teach otherwise.

I feel for you... I've had that for the past 3 yrs. It's horrible! The only good thing about me switching my grade and class this year is that I moved to a room w/AC (which is not working 100% but I'll take it).
I used to take my class to other rooms w/AC last year b/c I couldn't handle being in my first trimester at that time and sweating like crazy. Maybe you could buddy up until it gets cooler.
In the meantime...lots of water and leave the building asap.
Feel better...

I know- I'm actually missing the good ole days of when I taught down south!! I was supposed to be there this year BUT we luckily got pregnant shortly after trying and put the move on hold! I'll be in NY for one more year and then we'll be in NC

Hideous isn't the word to describe just how bad it was today!! I am def going to bring extra drinks 2morrow! I finish 2 huge bottles of water and gatorade by 1pm and had nothing for the last 2 hours of school!

I hear you...my class was the same.
Our building is having issues also. Fourth floor plus no ac is garbage. I drank over a gallon today, which leaves me with the need to use the bathroom and call for cover at least once an hour. 
With the lights off and two fans running it was still sweltering.
