Spin off to acne and introduction

Hi. I used to be on LIW a long time ago. I got married in 2003. My name is Kysha. I am almost 19 weeks pregnant. I have been lurking on here and have learned so much from you all and I thank you :)

We are not finding out the sex, because DH does not want to.

Anyway, I had some breakouts and while they are clearing up a bit, they are still there.

Everyone tells me I am having a girl because I have acne.

Did any of you find that to be true in your case? I have heard people who had boys also had breakouts.

Well, I had a girl and as I posted, my skin was horrible almost the whole time.

I think that's a load of bull...

The hormones is what makes you break out-- so, basically your hormones would need to be different based on the sex of your baby.

I have periods when I have a bunch of zits, and other times when my skin is great. I also use acne medicine that is safe for pregos.

OMG congratulations Kysha!!! I haven't 'seen' you in ages!

I started breaking out right after I got pregnant and I had a girl. But I know another girl whose skin broke out horribly when she was pregnant and she had a boy, so who knows.

Congrats!!

This is an old wives tale. My skin has been horrible (as to my hair) so some people said "must mean you're having a girl". Low and behold, I'm having a boy

Hey, I remember you Congrats!!

As for the breakouts, I did breakout with this pregnancy (not with my first son), and I'm having another boy
