braxton hicks
i don't remember them from my last pregnancy. is this when your stomach gets really hard then relaxes? this has been happening a lot the last few days along with a lot of movement. dh said he doesn't remember our son moviing this much

I think it's like bad menstrual cramps.
The Laugh and Learn about Childbirth video was explaining this and mentioned it's sorta similar to labor pains but differs in that the pain stops if you move.
Ie. if you lie down and get those pains, then you stand up and it goes away...

That's what mine are like. It usually gets rock hard for 30-60 seconds.

Mine don't feel like menstrual cramps at all. In fact, I hardly notice them. My upper abdomen just gets really tight and hard for a minute or two then relaxes but there is no discomfort.

I don't think they are supposed to hurt. I *think* I'm getting them too. I'm not really sure but sometimes my belly feels super tight.
