Re-wearing gown?
I have a ballgown that I wore to my cousin's wedding in 2003. I love this gown. It looks great on me (or it did, I haven't worn it in awhile, but assuming it still does).
Can I wear it to another black tie affair for another cousin who is the first cousin of the original wedding I wore it to? Yes there is photographic evidence, yes the guest list is largely the same. yes, people might actually remember.
How much does it REALLY matter?

It doesn't - it's 5 years later, YOU Love the gown and feel absolutely fabulous in it - Why would you hide it in your closet when you have the opportunity to wear it again?

Re: Re-wearing gown?
Is it SUPER distinctive, or is it like a classic black gown? Either way I think you are probably ok to wear it again...gowns are expensive and how much can you really wear them! people understand...

Re: Re-wearing gown?
It's really about how comfortable YOU are with it. If you're okay with it then do it.
It's 5 years later, so only a freak like me would remember. There aren't too many out there like me and I don't know you so you're in the clear.

I would probably say that you can wear it again. It is enough time for people not to remember you wearing it the first time.

Re: Re-wearing gown?
I would wear it again. I would just change up the accessories and maybe do something different with my hair to change the look a bit!

Re: Re-wearing gown?
It was 5 years ago and even if there is photographic evidence, it is likely that a majority of people won't remember what you wore. Heck - they probably don't even remember what they wore!
Go for it!
