Skipping a doctor's appointment?
Has anyone skipped a doctor's appointment?
I'm wondering if all these doctor visits are mandatory... esp. the one at 24 weeks. It sounds like a typical visit to check weight, height and baby's heartbeat.

I never skipped an appointment. It is important to go in each month (or whenever your appointmets are) so they can make sure you don't have high blood pressure, you don't have protein in your urine, and that you are gaining weight appropriately. Not to mention to talk to the dr. if you have any questions. For me, if brought me some piece of mind to see the dr each month.

If would never skip an appointment. Having your blood pressure and urine checked is very important. There is a reason they are done every 4 weeks. If you need to cancel your appointment, you should reschedule.

I had to miss my 31 week appt b/c DH and I couldn't make it and the doc was booked all week. So, now I'm going tomorrow at 32 weeks instead. I would think that the OB's office would want you to reschedule as soon as you can. Why don't you wanna go?

Never. They are all important IMO because they feel to make sure that your levels are ok, etc.

I wouldn't skip any and not sure about your OB but they told me my 24 week is the glucose test
