What the F%@! is this Pain????

So lastnight into this morning I had this throbbing pain in my bottom right abdomen that wouldn't let up no matter what position I changed to. I was up half the night in pain and it didn't really subside till about now at 12 O'clock in the afternoon...do you ladies think it was really bad round ligament pain...or is that where your appendix is??? I'm scared of it coming back. My abdomen is not tender to the touch...it seemed more internal...I thought it might even be my right ovary ready to explode...I was contemplating going to the ER if it lasted through today...cause I'm not sure if any DR's offices are open...What do you girls think...Thanks...(btw, I'm 16 weeks..don't know if that has anything to do with this new pain..)

I would guess either ligament/stretching or an ovarian cyst. I've gotten many cysts before and have had them rupture too. Was the pain do bad you couldn't walk? If so, it could have been a cyst rupturing. If it was bad but tolerable it could have been a cyst forming or growing. (Totally not a concern, by the way!) You would know if it was your appendix because your right side would be extemely sensitive to touch. If the pain comes back or you're still concerned you can always call your doctor to ease your mind. They can do a sono and see if there's a cyst.

One other thing... If it was a cyst rupturing it is not something to worry about. I had asked my doctor pre-pregnancy if my cysts and tendency to get ruptured cysts would be a problem and she said no, that the baby would be fine. That being said, you should still probably call your doctor just to see if they wanna do a sono or something.

oh boy, I've never had a cyst before ...I hope its just the ligament pain...it was on and off today...if its still an issue tomorrow, I may crash my Dr office for a visit...thanks for your advice Laura, have a great night!

hey, at around 16w i too had this pain...it was sort of a stabbing shooting pain and i couldnt even move when it would come on
i did go to the OB and it was round ligament pain, but if you feel uncomfortable, call your dr...
ill be 22w on wed and still feel it occasionally..hth

I went to the Dr today, because it is still on and off, so I have a sonogram scheduled for tomorrow..I'm hoping its just round ligament pain...and if it is...boy is it a B&%@h!!!! Thanks for your advice and well wishes!!
