Being around people who have the flu now.
I went to lunch with a friend on Friday. Her daughter turns out to have had a fever of 103 and she slept the whole time during lunch (we didnt know it was that bad and it just started when we were eating) Now my friend also has it, she thinks its the flu from the way she is feeling. She was around someone on Wednesday who's kids got sick on Friday. Now we never got too close. I dont think I ever touched anything she did or the kids... how contagious is this darn thing. The LAST thing we need is the flu!

The flu is very contagious, you dont have to get it from touching someone or something they touched, u can get it in the air as well. My girlfriend took her 6 mth old out with her to visit a friend and it turned out her friend had the flu, and the very next day they both got it thats how fast it is, its scary! I made sure DH and I both got the flu shot.
