Vetoed names
Did anyone love a name and then have DH veto it for some ridiculous reason?
Amelia - vetoed because there is a shipyard in Louisiana called Amelia, and his friends would think he named his daughter after a shipyard. 
Ava - there wasn't enough letters in it for DH.

Yeah...
DH vetoed Julia if we have a girl because he doesn't want people to call her Julie.
I told him (as did several other people) that wouldn't happen, but he was adamant about it.

I'm trying to use the letter "E" to honor my great-grandfather. DH has vetoed virtually all of the "E" names I like.
Ella: DH claims this sounds like the name of an 80 year old woman
Emerson: DH says it reminds him of Ralph Waldo Emerson
Elijah: DH think it's too biblical
Ethan: One of DH's college suitemates was named Ethan. DH didn't really like him. DH says whenever he hears that name, it reminds him of his suitemate.

1. Too Pretentious
2. He knew someone with that name(whether he liked them or not)

Arielle- my DH could not pronounce it (pronounced it like Air-e-el) and it drove me crazy hearing him say it- LOL !!!

My DH has totally vetoed my favorite name, which I am not going to list because I am still hopeful that he will come around.
He has also vetoed a couple of other because he says they sound like porn star names.
The only thing we agree on is that it is a little crazy that we still don't have a name for this little girl!

Ethan for a boy bc there are no nicknames for it, and Gabriella for a girl bc it reminds him of the Charo..yes Charo the crazy woman that was somewhat famous for no reason

Yes, DH vetoed Ava because it was the name of Hitler's wife or something along those lines
He also vetoed Brooke because "its a stream. who names their kid stream?"  Guys are rediculous sometimes...

Welcome to my world! We have to be careful not to have a Pornstar Jr.
DH vetoed the name Jacob because he didn't want him being called Jake. There are other names he vetoed as well that I loved.
Strangely, we agreed on the girl name pretty immediately.

Hey, we used the quintessential 90210 name and I don't care!!
I always say that if you talk about it long enough, you find a name you both love.
