my dog is ignoring me!!

i've had my dog with my husband for 3 1/2 yrs now... im about 18 weeks pregnant and slowly but surely she has been ignoring me, not wanting to go for walks with me, and cuddles with my DH before me... its like she knows whtas going on and is jealous and mad already!!!!

now - not only am i emotional from the crazy hormonal change, but she is making me soooo upset...

has this happened to anyone?? what can i do???

Oh no! That i haven't been pregnant but I hear stories about how dogs do that...it worries me too b/c i love my dog so much I would hope she would adjust...maybe you have to treat her like a little kid and buy her treats and stuff too..like you would a kid if you weren't having baby #2?? lol

I went through something similar with my Arnold. He had this tumor on his shoulder (thankfully NOT cancerous) but anyway, he would lick it and sratch it which would cause it to bleed.

Well long story short, I forced him to wear a tee shirt to protect it and the ENTIRE time I did it he was SO distant. Wanted no part of me whatsoever.

So eventually I started forcing him to be around me by taking him for walks alone (without his sister), for rides in the car and eventually I was able to remove the shirt.

After a week or so of just alittle alone time with he and I, he came around.

Just do your best to have some alone time with you and your pooch and eventually she'll get that you're not going to forget her.
