How did you tell work that you were pg?

Did you speak to HR first?

I work with all men. There aren't any females in my dept except for the admins. I don't know how to tell my boss.

I want to tell him soon so he doesn't think I'm slacking. I've been feeling so sick and operating at 20%.

I have bi-weekly one on one meetings with my boss. I told him at 13 weeks during that meeting. I haven't spoken to HR yet.

I work with mostly men also, I just went in to one of their offices and shut the door. It was a little nerve racking, don't ask why, but felt great once it was out in the open. Then I met with HR another time in the month to discuss the company's maternity leave policy etc.

I work with all men as well. I just went into the Managing Director's office and said, I'm pregnant. Luckily he responded very well, said babies are a blessing, etc. Told the couple of guys I directly work with, they didn't care either way, and then word just spread.

i only *had* to tell my supervisor - but she figured it out at 5 weeks

i ended up telling HR while i was speaking to them about something unrelated, i told them around 12 weeks i think.

My manager and some co-workers had a "feeling". I'm a media sales rep and going out for Happy Hours is a weekly thing. It didn't take them to long to notice the lack of smoking & drinking. I told them at exactly 12 weeks. They are happy. In fact, this morning they had me annouce the sex in our AM meeting. Granted I have a female manager who is very into babies and all.

I had the same situation as you, my office is all men except for the two admins up front.

First I went to the Municipal PM because he is very much a family guy, he was excited and congratulated me; he said not to worry about maternity leave to take my time and figure out what I wanted to do. While I was talking to him the Private PM came in, he is not as much of a family guy and started making cracks about "oh great we are going to have to put up with PMS for the next 9 months" (I was already 12 weeks) and "I guess we'll have to see if we have work for you after you have the baby"...

He is really an a$$, the municipal guy and I were both looking at him dumbfounded. I just turned around and went back to talking to Chad. The Private PM later realized he was being an a$$ and apologized to me saying he had never been around a PG women before apparently we are scary

I told our department head first and then worked down from there. We happened to a party for someone that day too, so I started telling co-workers then. After that I let it be word-of mouth.

I didn't tell HR until I was well into my second trimester. I only told them then because I had a question. I told my supervisor ans crisis support staff immediately, as I work in a school with emotionally disturbed children and had to be careful. The rest of the staff found out when I was 10 weeks after an incident with a child. I HAD to tell them then for my safety.
