Does anyone elses dog do this???
When I let Lola out in the front there are little dead dried up worms on the side walk and in the drive way.. She sniffs is out and then rubs her face in it??? Its so gross  I was just wondering...

Oh my yes!! Tinkerbell lvoes to roll in gross things! Her favorite is dried up worms and dead squished frogs...I joke and say she thinks it's like perfume and rubs in it...no idea why but it's totally disgusting!

Oddly enough, I know why they do this. It goes back to their wild roots - they rub the ground so they smell like the environment and cannot be detected by possible predators.
If you've ever noticed your dog turning in circles before they lay down, that's back from the wild days as well. They did this so that they would flatten out tall grasses/brush in their sleeping area.
I'm a dork, I know.

My Rottie rolls ALOT. She rolls in the grass, in the leaves. She likes to shred her toys and roll in the remnants. But she's really sweet! 
My German Shepherd doesn't roll in stuff.

Once I was walking my parent's dog in the front yard and she suddenly rolls over and started rolling. It was so cute that I called DH to come over to see. Then I see why Tasha was so excited - there was cat poop on the ground that she was rolling in
Dogs love gross things

My sister's pug loves to roll around in rabbit poop.
It makes me gag!
Luckily my pug likes to sniff poop and then move on

Mine will try to go after frogs at night but I catch her before she wants to roll in anything. I don't think i would want to clean her up.

Thank God she hates the smell of poop and doesn't roll in that!! Its just these dried up dead woms.. She rubs the sides of her face in them????? Is so bizzare!
