Stray cats/kittens - Need help!
The woman across the street from me was feeding a TON of stray cats/kittens in the neighborhood. Well, apparently she stopped, because I have SIX kittens that are ALL over my property. We have not fed them, but they are obviously looking for food. It's really getting out of hand - I am finding them by my garbage pails, etc. I feel horrible (they look so sick), but it's really becoming bothersome all over my property. Is there an organization I can call to have them rescued? I don't know what to do anymore!

I would call your local vet and ask! North shore animal league? Bidawee? Gather them, put them in a box. I think it's the best think you can do for the little guys!

I know you're annoyed that they're on your property, but PLEASE put some dry food and water out for them. At least until you can figure out what to do with them. Cats, especially kittens, can get dehydrated easily.
FM Reggie, she always has great ideas, especially regarding feral cats.

You could do TNR (trap, neuter,release). It won't solve the IMMEDIATE problem of having strays on your property- but it will keep the problem from cycling.
Call your local Humane Society to find out options.

We adopted our cat from a rescue organization - All About Spay and Neuter in Massapequa. She rescues feral kittens, spays/neuters their parents, and socializes the kittens so that they can be adopted.
