stupid question about bf...

sorry to sound so clueless but if i decide to bf can i also use formula too since i will be going back to wotk after three months? how l.ong doyou bf for like how many months?

you can breast feed for as long as you like. Some do it for 6 weeks then go back to work and put the baby on formula, some supplement formula (give both) from birth.

I had planned on BF only but the baby would not take my boobie, so I had to give her a bottle with formula. Then I bought a pump, so I pump a few times a day which gives her 1-2 bottles of BM a day.

The pediatrician sayid ANY amount of BM is better than none. You have to choose what is right for you and your baby.

I an back at work and I continue to BF as well as pump at work, this gives enough milk so that when I am at work my son has BM fromt he bottle. I have done withis with all 3 of my kids for the forst year, it is really not so hard, but invest in a good pump if you decide to pump and not supplement with formula.

I bf for 5 months before I had to supplement with formula. However I was able to pump at work.
