I watched the Michael Vick special on Animal plant last night. has anyone else seen it ?

It was sad.
Mad me so angry that he did that.
but 1/2 of it was about how they rehabilitated the dogs, they were able to adopt out 22 of the 52 dogs!
They only had to put 1 dog to sleep for being too violent. i was amazed by that.

I didnt see it, tho I did see a commercial for the series on I think 10 of the dogs.

DH wants to watch (we have a FB Pitbull) but I just dont know if I can

I haven't seen it yet. If it's "Animal Witness", it's on tonight at 9pm. Same time as Project Runway, of course.

I did see a 20 minute spot on demand (fios) for Dogtown where they featured one pitbull named Georgia from Vick.

I actually cried when they told her story.

They show her all affectionate towards one of the guys working there, they show her fighting scars. Otherwise looks like a normal dog.

Then they find out she has no teeth in her mouth, none at all. I thought they might have been ripped out from fighting. Because if she's still alive, she must have been pretty good, right?

No. They were REMOVED. By a skilled person, possibly a Vet.

Why? Because they probably wanted her to breed more champions like her. What would happen if you introduce two aggressive fighting dogs to mate?

They said they probably ripped her teeth out so she wouldn't kill the male. And that they have things called "rape racks" where they strap the dog down and allow her to be raped as many times as the male will allow, to increase their chances.

Those f*cking heartless bastards should rot in HELL.

I randomly woke up at 4am and it had just came on! I stayed up to watch it- So sad but amazing that only one dog had to be put down for being too violent and poor Rose had to be put down (not due to violence).

Its sickening what that ******* did, and I think he deserves more jail time than he got! We'll see what happens when he goes to trial with the State!!

I know. I didn't think I was going to be able to watch it. But majority of the show is about the lives the dog have now, so you end the show happy instead of crying and thinking "why did I watch that!"
