kong stuffing
A few weeks ago ollie had really bad diarrhea and she was throwing up. We put her on rice and chicken for weeks until she was producing healthy stools and then gradually changed her food to a sensitive stomach type. She was doing great but before I left I gave her a kong stuffed with some puppy kong stuff and I just got home and she must have been sick all day, I feel horrible. Has anyone else's dogs had problems with the kong stuff'n?

Re: kong stuffing
My dog never has done well on anything other than milk bones. Instead of gooey stuff in the kong, try a milk bone a little smaller than the kong. It takes them forever to get it out and they have fun!

That is what we do. WE also put "Charlie Bears" they sell it at Trader Joes and Petsmart.

Re: kong stuffing
I only stuff Brody's kong with Milkbones, I break them in half and stuff 'em in.

Re: kong stuffing
My ILs fill the kong with either peanut butter or easy cheese, and put it in the freezer for a few hours. Then it lasts all day since it is frozen and the dogs lick it gradually. They have never had problems using these fillings.

Re: kong stuffing
I usually just put soft cheese or peanut butter in the kong.

Re: kong stuffing
I alternate between the Peanut Butter stuffing and chewy milkbones. I try to remember to freeze the Kong overnight. She's never had an upset stomach before.

Re: kong stuffing
I never used the Kong treats because I heard the can upset doggy. I usually alternate little treats that can fit there from Petsmart. She has been fine with them.
