Those who had GD in previous pregnancies ?
Did you still take the 1 hour or just skip to the 3 hour?
I had GD with my dd and it lingered for awhile after the pregnancy, so im thinking I will just save myself from having to drink that stuff possibly twice and just skip to the 3 hour. I know the drink isnt horrible, but its more about saving time and with a toddler it can be difficult keeping her busy while I sit for this test.
Thanks!!

Re: Those who had GD in previous pregnancies ?
Me. At 8 weeks they tested me for Diabetes with the 1 hour glucose test. I was sooooooooo nervous but thank goodness I passed. so b/c I passed and at every well visit no sugar in urine we waited until the usual I think 20 something weeks, I forget for the 1 hour - I failed it, so I had to take the 3 hour- I failed it, so here we go again but at least its toward the end and not from 8 weeks!!! Today I actually go to see if my dr puts me on insulin, for 2 weeks watching diet and pricking finger 4x a day- sucks!

Re: Those who had GD in previous pregnancies ?
I wanted to skip the whole damn process and just go straight to the finger pricking, but no such luck. I had to go for the 1 hour, then the 3 hour, then the endocrinologist consult, then the nutritionist consult... Copay after copay after copay later, sure enough I have it again and I'm back to the diet and insulin.
I got tested 6 weeks earlier when I failed, but my A1C test was in the non-diabetic range. I'm very conflicted about the entire diagnoses and treatment, but continue to follow Dr.'s orders nevertheless...only 3 more months to go!
