Anabelle is getting spayed
And like a fool I started to cry when I handed her off. I just get so nervous for these things!
Is anyone else an overprotective furbaby mama?

I am! I was worried when I brought Leo in for dental work since the vet had to put him under.  He was fine though! And now he has sparkley white teeth!!

Oh trust me you are not alone!
I am the WORST.
Thank GOD that my kitty was already fixed when I got her. I don't think I'd be able to handle having to bring her in to be fixed.
I cried hysterical when she got her first shots- hysterical- like a crazy nut case. Sobbing!
I feel like they think you are betraying them by bringing them to the vet- because they just don't understand it's out of love you know?

OMG! I am the same. When we first got Jack, he got the worst case of fleas. He was miserable, but his next Frontline application wasn't due for over a week, so I called the vet to see if I could apply the Frontline early,a nd I just started sobbing like a looney tune cause I felt so bad for my little baby! I am certain they must have a sticker in my pets' files that says I am unstable cause I cried when my cat had fleas Plus the cats are miserable just going in the car, so I am already feeling bad/guilty before we even make it to the vet

My cat was sick recently and I literally broke down crying on the phone with the vet too! I was trying to explain the situation and I was just so upset and worried about her that I couldn't hold it together.
My husband always says- what if we had a sick CHILD?? You would have to be institutionalized.
But somehow I think I'd be better with a child.
Animals are just so helpless and they don't understand!

I agree. At least when I was little and had to get a shot, my mom could say 'you are getting a shot so you don't get sick'. I can't even tell my little furbabies anything so they know why I 'torture' them with trips to the vet
