IUI OUCH!!
Well i had my first IUI done today....when they said you would feel slight cramping they werent kidding. I was in tears, literally hysterical!! While they were doing it they found a blockage on my cervix, which added to the horrible pain. BUT hopefully this will do the trick! Keep your fingers crossed!

Re: IUI OUCH!!
I have had 2 IUIs so far (my third will be Monday or Tuesday) and I had cramping too (mostly afterwards). The procedure itself is a little worse than a pap smear, but it feels more invasive.
I was very crampy after both of mine; like menstraul cramping, but more focused. My cramps lasted only a little while and I was fine by the afternoon. Both times I came home and fell asleep for a while. I love naps.
Good luck! Give me three or four days to catch up and we'll do the tww together!
ETA: I'm sorry this was so tough for you. I know the blockage couldn't have been pleasant. Feel better.

Re: IUI OUCH!!
I'd really like to make a suggestion here and I hope I'm not speaking out of turn.
Please have your RE look into the blockage. I had the same issue and had some seriously painful IUI's. I just chalked it up to the blockage. I then went through a series of IVF transfers with the same kind of issues, though not as painful as the IUI's and finally questioned it. The RE suggested a D&C to clear off any scar tissue on my cervix and two transfers later I was pregnant.

I actually agree with you...I just had a hysteroscoopy to get rid of so much scar tissues from my d&c's. my dr. said he would not continue with my until i had the surgery. Maybe it would be a good idea to look into it. the surgery was no big deal and did not mess up my cycle. Good Luck!
