Pulse in your belly?
I've noticed when I lay down at night, I have a strong pulse in my belly. It's random pulses though so no real consistency. Is that just blood flow to the baby or is it baby movements?

Your own pulse is stronger during pregnancy from increased blood volume which is what you are feeling. Totally normal.

i assumed it was my pulse but for a split second i had thought it was the baby's heart beat!

Yup it's you! In a few more months you MAY be able to hear the baby's heartbeat if you listen to your belly. It depends on how they are positioned.

your abdominal aorta runs all teh way down your belly and with the increased blood volum and your organs being pushed up it is easier to feel your HB through the aorta!

I can feel my pulse too in my belly. If you put one hand on your belly and one on another pulse point you will see they are the same...
