Letters to Baby
In the baby book that my family bought for me, there is a section for a letter for both the mom and dad to write for the baby - I am assuming for her to read when she is old enough to understand. I planned on writing one for Ed-lie once she is born and I see her for the first time. Have any of you done this? Do you plan to?

Re: Letters to Baby
I have a section in my baby book as well and I plan on writing a letter to keep in the book. I think it will be cool both for me to look back on and read over the years and for my child to one day read it and see how excited I was about their arrival and how much they are loved.

Re: Letters to Baby
Yes, I have written it--in my mind.
DS is 8.5 months, but no letter has been produced yet. I would really like to do this soon though.

Re: Letters to Baby
Although I am at almost 15 weeks, I have thought about writing a letter to my baby already...and I want to when the baby is born... something special for them to have when they are old enough to understand...

Re: Letters to Baby
I actually have started writing to little boy in my head. I want to have a letter for him written before he's born and then one after he's born.

Re: Letters to Baby
I am crashing from the parenting board because DH and I wrote letters to our DC (who now is a DD) the night before I was induced and I have to say that it was so special that night but even more special now. DD is only 4mnths but I still read the letters often. The one from my husband makes me cry and my letter really focuses on telling my future child what an amazing father she has and my wishes for her. I know I am going to look back on it often to never forget that moment of unconditional love for someone you had never even met.
I lost my mom almost 11 years ago and my dad gave me a book a few years back about pregnancy and bringing a new life into this world and in it was a letter to my brothers and I from my mom when she was sick. She just wanted us to know what a miracle we were to her and she hoped one day we would be able to experience our own miracle by bringing a child into this world. That letter means so much to me.
So, sorry to be longwinded, but if you have a chance write that letter. It is so worth it!

Re: Letters to Baby
I plan to write one. I also plan to write one every year for his birthday. I think it would be really nice to go back and read them.

Re: Letters to Baby
When I was pregnant I bought cards for every holiday and addressed the "to my baby" and wrote inside them - how old he was at that time, how I was feeling, how I was spending that particular holiday, how excited I was for his arrival. I have them all sealed and dated on the outside and plan to give them to my son when he gets older.
