try some peppermint... I use altoids-- or if accessible, some peppermint tea.

I have the same problem, it started to become really bad 1 week ago and has not stopped! I feel the acid burning my throat throughout the day now! It's really bad at night after being in bed a couple hours, my doctor suggested sleeping on an extra pillow and keep my head propped up. He said not to eat anything before bed, I usually don't. He said try vanilla ice cream, I've yet to try it. So far I've been drinking a lot more milk, I guess it could be worse but it has not gone away.

Thanks ladies. Unforunately, I had the worst heartburn in my first tri. It was so bad I had accupuncture done as nothing helped. I find gum helps but I left my gum home today and my job is like a ghost town for the next 2 weeks.
If anyone needs any marshmallows roasted, just let me know. I can do it for you.

I too have shared this lovely pleasure of the fire in the chest and throat. I find that the peppermint remedies only make it worse. However, I do find that a little chewing gum seems to help.....at least for some temporary relief!
