i was putting my son down for a nap and missed a call on my cell. when i listen to the voicemail, it's my principal - or at least, i still think he is. anyway, he said that he ran into some trouble w/hiring for the school and wants to talk to me about it rather than leaving a message so he'll try back later b/c he's on vacation and no # to reach him.

w t f? does this mean i don't have a job? has anyone been through this before? it is a nyc school, if that matters.

Were you offered a job there or do you work there already?

If you are being excessed you are ok as far as gettng paid.

thanks ladies...i was offered a position there in july, which i accepted and therefore stopped searching for another position.

if he can't hire me, i'm going to have to sub - but this really stinks. i've called him a few times asking if he needed me to go downtown, send paperwork, etc and he always said, "just enjoy the rest of your summer"

now i don't know what's going on and i have to wait for his call

I was hired and never had to go downtown or fill out paperwork. Hopefully- he just wants to put you in a new grade or something!
