How do you know
They told us Cedes has 4-6 (now 3-5) more weeks of life until the cancer consumes her, any suggestions on when its "that time" do we wait tilll hse can barely move, or when she is still spunky enoiugh to function before the pain sets in-I dont know what to do-I wake up, go to sleep, basically spend my day crying knowing that by next month she wont be here.....any suggestions is greAtly apprecitated.

oh god...I'm so sorry.
I dont think there is anyway for any of us to tell you. I think you will know in your heart when it is time.
I do think it's a tough call, you dont want them to suffer.
I think cancer is a very hard disease to put an expectancy date on. Atleast that has been my experience with people and cancer. So, go by what you know about your dog, and how you think he is feeling.

My mother's dog just died of cancer...they knew he had it and had a limited time left.
They waited to take him to be put to sleep until he couldn't walk anymore. You could see that he wanted to get up, but just couldn't do it and that's when they knew.
You will just know when it's the right time.

Jenn - I'm so sorry, my heart is breaking for you and your husband and her sisters.

I'm so sorry to hear about your pup The vet said the same thing to me when my cat Chablis had cancer "you'll just know" it worried me for weeks, "how will I know?" then one morning we got up and she just wasn't herself, I can't really explain it, she was just different, almost tired looking and I just knew it was time. It was so hard, I really feel for you, but I think you will know. I'm so sorry

I am so sorry to hear about your poor baby. We too are facing this dreaded disease and right now I am just going to spoil her rotten, give her everything under the sun, and wait for her to tell me what she needs. I hear from everyone that she will, and I am going to wait for her to make the choice.........I just can't do it without knowing that she is ready!!!
