Can someone please explain to me...
WHY... I have gained like 8 lbs... I don't have a belly yet. But my arse and thighs are getting bigger???
Ok, yes-- I am not working out as regularly as I used to-- but, come on!
I feel like I am seriously just gaining weight-- and it has NOTHING to do with being prego. Did my metabolism really slow down THAT much?? I am going to cry...

Re: Can someone please explain to me...
I've gained almost 22 lbs and my stomach is small. (you can check out my album). My azz, thighs and boobs have all grown immensely. I had to stop working out at 16 weeks, and I ate so much the first trimester, especially carbs, to combat nausea. oh well...i figure now's not the time to worry about it. I'll get back into shape after DD is born.

Re: Can someone please explain to me...
it's still early... this is your first child so your belly is not going to pop right away.
i hear most people begin to show around the 5 month mark with their first child. that's 20wks preg. this is my first child and i would say that i just started to show at 20wks yet i can still hide it if i tried...
give it a few weeks!!

You're far enough along that 8 lbs isn't !! Don't get upset, you're supposed to gain weight ! And you always take such great care of yourself I'm sure you're eating healthy and still working out as much as you can.
You can go back to making yourself crazy after the baby is born !!

there's still baby and placenta growing, even if you can't see it! Also some of that could be water!

I have weight/diet issues-- and I just can't get past the numbers on the scale. I am almost 16 weeks, and I just feel like I am getting fat-- it's so annoying.
I just hate feeling crappy about myself-- it's not even about the fact that now is not the time to care-- I just don't feel good about how I look, and that just puts me in a bad mood.

I hear ya - I'm already stressing about it too. And I'm only 5 weeks I SO want to be that cute pregnant girl, but I'm sure I'll end up being a bloated weeble that won't be able to wear my favorite shoes .........And I know you're not 'supposed to care' - but when you don't like the way you look, regardless of the reason, it makes you feel crappy -
You will feel better about the weight once you pop and you can show off your prego belly !!
