Is anyone else stressing about money?
Its really all i think about and its holding me back from enjoyin my last pregnancy.
Im freaking that we are goign to have such a hard time this winter.....

Yes, I am worried. I won't be working for 12 weeks. Although I'll get disability for some of it, it's no where near my salary. I worry about the mortgage payments, food, etc. DH has an interview tonight for a per diem job. Hopefully, he'll get it and work a few extra hours a week for money while I am out on leave.

I stressed about money even before I got PG. Now that I am, I am petrified.
I try to look at the bright side though. No matter what...things will work itself out. It always has & I have no reason to believe that wont in the future. The only thing that I'm really concerned about is that it is going to take us a bit longer to buy a house than we anticipated. Try to remain positive  .
My in-laws started out with NOTHING when they first got married. They came from Italy with $13 in their pocket years ago right off the boat. Now they own 2 houses, a business & brought up a family. I know it was easier back then, but we can all learn a thing or two from our past.

We have some debt that we just cant seem to pay off and with me not getting paid while I am out..

Oh yea, I think about it all the time. I only get 5 weeks paid maternity and would like to stay home 12 weeks. My salary is a big chunk of our income so I am very worried.

i should be, but i am not. i have enough time saved to get paid for about 3- 3 1/2 weeks after the baby comes, then the rest of my 12 week leave is unpaid. Dh has been working a lot of overtime, and we have been saving like crazy, so i think we'll be okay, and i'll be back at work in late november/early december so i'll be making $$ again when it's time to pay the heating bill

Yes, because I always want to save and its hard while I'm out but a little bit no, I have been careful with the spending on the baby by shopping on Craigslist, making a lot of the room stuff, etc., just to trying and conserve money in general.
What I am not looking forward to having TWO in daycare...erf! That's going to make a dent in the pocket.

Totally stressing. Not having a regular salary for a few weeks, plus needing/wanting another car, is really stressful.

Yes, with 3 in daycare it is going to cost us $33k a year and thats with the baby only going 2 days a week and after I negotiated with them to come down from $39k a year.

I am slightly but both cars are paid off. We live in SC so no insane heating bills. We both work from home so no or little child care needed-I may get a Mothers helper or something a couple of days a week. However-me not getting paid 6 paychecks if I stay out 12 weeks will be hard. Although I still will get commissions just not my salary..its up in the air right now.

Yes We are worried. I am trying not to be because we have such a great support system, that if we needed anything I known both sets of parents will be there for us.
These things have a way of working themselves out!

Yes, I frequesntly have panic attacks about money but freaking out will not change anything so I just try to go with the flow. It will all work out, it always does.

I am always worried. My plan is to stay out for 5.5 months with the little one like i did with DS. With DS I was able to save so much money before he was born. Now forget about it I cant save anything. And we just moved into a new home. Money is going to be extremely extremely tight. I hope I will be able to stay out of work for 5.5 months.

I wasn't really at first. But now as time goes by.... We need to buy a new car b/c Dh's car needs some repair and it would cost $700 to fix (the car is manual e/t and only worth maybe $2000-has over 120,000 miles) so it's not worth it. Then we decided to do some home improvements that we've been saving for but the figure came in a couple thousand over what we figured so now we're trying to save and decide what to do. I'm taking an extended leave so I'll be without a salary for a few weeks.
Oh, boy. Now I'm panicking.
