DH is home and more good news
Thank goodness he was finally discharged and now in bed sleeping
I got "normal" results fro AFP
YAY!!!!

I am just worried because of the inaccuracies of the test regarding false positives-- meaning, negative results. I'll just have to wait it out though!
How long did it take to get the results? It's like the NT, right-- sono and blood?

wouldnt a false positive mean that the test comes back with a high protein level but baby is fine?
never heard of a false negative
test is JUST blood to measure the protein in it
My doc always does a sono so I had one anyway, but not as part of the AFP

I am not sure of the terms of the test-- but, what I meant was-- it will come back that you are at risk, when you are not. Meaning, the test basically has a high occurrence of scaring the sh!t out of you..

especially since i opted NOT to have amnio
did you do ultrascreen?
how were your results?

But, my friend had great NT results-- then got bad AFP results.. and had to have an amnio at 30. Everything was fine of course.

wow!! your downs results were great!
mine was 1:2347 and I thought THAT was great!!
