Uterus firm on one side?

Hi ladies!

I noticed that when I touch my pelvic area, it seems pretty firm on the right side, but not on the left. The best place that I can describe it is that it is in the area where my right ovary is...not sure if it's my uterus or if it is something else. I've noticed this for the last week or more, always in the same place. Have any of you ever felt this? Is it normal?

I'm 17 weeks today.

are you sure it's not the baby? my baby def. leans on my left side, so my stomach feels hard on that side

I was thinking maybe it is the baby (at least I hope it is!) - I just thought the baby would move around and not really stay in one spot.
